Joint Freeing Series Video with Tibetan Buddhist Meditation

Enjoy this joint-freeing series, a systematic yoga sequence that takes you from the feet up to the neck to loosen joints and connect with the physical body. It can be done as a stand alone practice or movements can be cherrypicked as a preliminary practice to other yoga asana.

We close with the Tibetan Buddhist practice of Tonglen, or “taking and giving.” I learned it as Taking Away the Darkness meditation. In it, you imagine taking in others’ suffering as dark smoke and giving all that they need as bright light.

Together, these techniques form a wonderfully supportive, heart-centered practice to keep your joints flexible while working your yoga from the inside out aka clearing the channels. In this way, we are transmuting the suffering of others and oneself.
